About the customer:
Telekom Austria is the largest mobile and fixed line operator in Austria. As an incumbent former state owned company, TA has a vast range of legacy applications that require constant maintenance and integration when new systems are introduced.
TA decided to implement of a new web based CRM application with back-end Billing and Rating systems. It was a 5 year program which involved replacing certain systems and integrating with others.
– Drastically reduce cost per customer for OSS systems
– Speed up delivery cycles of new functionality by implementing modern and flexible processes
– Maintain quality and customer satisfaction throughout this major change project touching almost all systems in use.
The key moment was at the onset when an experienced team of implementation specialists were recruited. Automatic batch tests to verify end to end processes were developed and used through-out the development cycle. Off shore teams in the Ukraine were managed alongside local teams in Vienna using modern methods of task tracking and team communication.
